Forbo flooring

Forbo Flooring Systems makes floor coverings for commercial and residential interiors and belongs to the Swiss Forbo group, headquartered in Baar. The group goes back to 1928, when linoleum makers from Germany, Sweden and Switzerland formed the Continentale Linoleum Union. Forbo has been making linoleum in Krommenie and Assendelft, the Netherlands, for more than 125 years.

Marmoleum natural linoleum

Marmoleum is made from linseed oil, rosin, wood flour, limestone and a jute backing. According to Forbo, it contains 98% natural raw materials, 78% bio-based content and 45% recycled content. It comes as sheet, as Marmoleum Modular tiles and as Marmoleum Click panels. The same material is used for furniture linoleum and Bulletin Board pinboards.

Other Forbo floors

• Vinyl floors – homogeneous and heterogeneous (Eternal, Sphera, Novilon), slip-resistant, acoustic, ESD and wall coverings.
• Flotex – washable flocked flooring that can be cleaned with water.
• Coral entrance systems – stop dirt and moisture at the door.
• Carpet tiles and sports floors.

Sustainability

Through its Back to the Floor programme, Forbo collects installation off-cuts (Marmoleum, Eternal, Sphera, Allura, Novilon, Flotex, Tessera) and returns them to production. Marmoleum meets AgBB and M1 emission requirements and contributes to BREEAM and LEED credits.
