Wooden skirting boards

A skirting board closes the expansion gap between the floor and the wall — without it a floating floor has nowhere to move. This section holds veneered BOEN skirting boards whose top layer is the same timber with the same finish as the flooring: Live Pure lacquer, Live Natural oil, white and Polar shades. The match with the floor is exact rather than approximate — so the transition from floor to wall does not draw the eye. Painted MDF skirtings are also in the range for anyone who wants the board in the wall colour.

How to choose. Start from the decor: each product name states which floor finish it is matched to. Then the height — 55–58 mm suits standard rooms, while 70 and 100 mm belong in high-ceilinged and classic interiors where a low profile looks undersized. Lengths run from 2180 to 2700 mm; a longer board means fewer joints along a long wall.

How much to order. Room perimeter minus door openings, plus 5–10 % for cuts and corners. Fixing is either on clips or glued; clips let you take the skirting off later, for cable runs for example.

Pick the floor decor on the BOEN collections page. You may also need adhesives and primers or stair nosings.
