Stair nosings

Stairs and thresholds are where the floor covering ends, and that is exactly where you see whether a job was finished properly. A nosing profile covers the edge of the tread, protects it from chipping, and keeps the timber and finish consistent with the floor.

The range holds oak nosings for 14 mm engineered boards with the 5G Click system, in Live Matt lacquer, bevelled, from €56 to €79 apiece. Two things matter when ordering: the board thickness the profile is matched to (14 mm), and the decor shade — take the same one as the floor, otherwise the transition draws the eye.

How many. One nosing per tread, plus a margin for cuts if the staircase is wider than the standard profile length. For non-standard stairs send us the dimensions and we will tell you whether the profile fits or whether full treads in the same timber are the better route.

Floor decors are on the BOEN collections page; the wall edge needs skirting boards.
